Easter Post – Baby, Bats and Bugs

We have just returned from a lovely long weekend.  Highlight was a visit from 2 year old Matilda (and her parents of course!). A robust, smiling, red-locked angel.

A very cool spotting. While we were reading in bed one evening, the microbats came darting in under the pergola after the insects. A few times we had quite a good angle.

And we made a big decision this weekend – to start trying to record the spiders and insects on the property. Not sure if we are embarking on an exciting, on-going adventure or a heavy burden.
